Grammy winner John Reischman is a foundational mandolinist, composer, bandleader, and educator in bluegrass, roots and folk music, emerging from the “new acoustic” bluegrass scene of the Bay Area in the 1980s. A member of the groundbreaking Tony Rice Unit, his mastery of bluegrass, old-time, swing, and Latin musical styles, coupled with an Old Master’s sense of tone and musicality, garnered him a global reputation as one of the finest mandolinists of his era.
