Big things are happening at the Empress Theatre! 

The Empress Theatre is closing for renovations. We will be closing the theatre beginning May 1 until sometime this fall for the refurbishment. Check back for any updates.

For more than a century, the Empress has been the heart of Fort Macleod, hosting laughter, tears, and unforgettable memories. But let’s be real - our seats have seen a lot of action, resulting in creaky springs and sagging cushions. We need your help to refurbish our seats, refinish the floors, update the bathrooms and add wheelchair accessibility. 

In conjunction, we are launching a SAVE OUR SEATS campaign to raise the funds needed to provide an improved entertainment experience at the Empress!
